Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CalCast (the "Service"), a calendar synchronization service that mirrors busy time from one Google Calendar onto another as private hold blocks.
By using CalCast you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
To use CalCast you must:
- Have a valid Google account.
- Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
- Comply with Google's Terms of Service and any other terms applicable to the Google services you connect through CalCast.
2. Description of Service
CalCast lets you configure synchronization rules between Google Calendars you own or have access to. The Service reads events from a source calendar and creates corresponding private "hold blocks" on a destination calendar to reflect your busy time. You can also configure "color casts" to recolor events matching keyword rules.
CalCast is provided as-is. We make no commitments about specific sync timing, feature availability, or uninterrupted operation.
3. Your Account and Conduct
You are responsible for the activity that occurs through your CalCast account. You agree not to:
- Use CalCast in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt CalCast's servers or infrastructure.
- Use CalCast in a way that exceeds reasonable usage limits or that we determine constitutes abuse.
- Use CalCast to violate Google's terms of service or other third-party terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that abuse the Service.
4. Privacy
Your privacy is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5. Service Availability
CalCast is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, specific sync intervals, or continuous availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice.
6. Termination
You can stop using CalCast at any time by deleting your account in the app (see the Privacy Policy §7 for what deletion removes).
We may terminate or suspend your access to CalCast at our discretion if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the Service to you is otherwise unreasonable.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
CALCAST IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CALCAST WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL BE PRESERVED OR ACCURATE.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CALCAST OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
